From the estate of a prominent entertainment executive. A set of 5 antique Arita Imari soup bowls with a scallop style rim. Each bowl measures approximately 3" in diameter and 2.5"h. The bowls feature a colbalt blue center design on the inside, outside of the bowl features panels with flowers and mountain homes. Classic Imari color palate of rust, cobalt blue, green and gilt. There are light surface scratches and subtle signs of wear present. Some of the gold gilt shows signs of wear. There are some little glaze pops, bubbles and an occasional imperfection from the initial firing. Some of the foots have flea bites. There are blue Japanese imari marks on the base that are possibly Aoki Brothers Company from Arita Japan, Meiji period, 1868-1912. From the estate of a prominent entertainment executive.
