This darling doll will not be listed lower.Kestner Bisque Shoulder Head Alphabet Series doll. Approximately 24". Incised E Made in Germany. Her body is the original cloth with mendings and she has a very tiny fashion doll type slender waist like the proper young lady she is. Original red mohair wig over original plaster late is worn but charming and original. Little cloth hands are delicate with mending. I was going to cover them with leather - little leather or lace gloves would be perfect for her, but alas she must wait for anew mama to provide them. Her gorgeous brown glass Kestner eyes are original and speak volumes with the ECHOES of well over a century of cherished care. Her antique petticoat, chemise and bloomers are original, as are her black stockings and wonderful 2 tone little antique shoes that still have original laces. Her shoes are marked on their soles, each with 7 and the right is impressed with Made in Germany. She wears a most precious antique hand made lace mob cap and an antique hand made lace cape or shawl. Her bisque is gorgeous with only a teeny paint skip at the back right see hole- not a chip. Bisque head has no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no repairs or restorations, just an absolutely gorgeous doll. She has a body just soft enough to allow her attitude when she is posed to sit! Of course a dress can be added, but I love the ICONIC look of her as she is, all original from great grandmother's bandbox and very dear.She is an antique of approximately 120+ years old. Do not purchase her if you are expecting this doll to be in "like new perfect conditions", or "minty-mint" etc. Although her condition is very good indeed, she has some expected play wear and may have some areas of worn or possibly body leather around gussets or joints, or small scratches or small wear spots or holes in the body from being placed upon and being removed from stands, etc. She may have inherent, in the manufacture minor or minute imperfections in her Bisque such as is common in antique Bisque. I try to mention everything I see but I might overlook something, so please be aware that her photos are a highly important and integral part of her description and your examination of the photos will tell you much more than I can write about the condition of the doll. I have numerous other photos as well as am willing to take requested particular pictures for you so you can better determine if this is the doll of your dreams!
