Hello, this violin is very very old and certainly the work of a master maker. Old world woods, high attention to detail and old world repairs including a carved in sound post patch. The top has also been over varnished years and years ago correctly. The violin has chipped corners, they are very detailed. The violin measures 23.5" long and just over 14" on the back. The violin has new Evah Pirazzi strings and plays and sounds great with a very sweet tone and soul. It retains it's old willow corners inside. This is a fantastic violin. Two violin experts have seen the violin and both believe it was made in Italy long ago. I did not want to sell it back then, but I no longer play and it's time for it to be played. The violin has no label but it speaks for it's self. I took good pictures please make you own evaluations if you like it and want to buy it, I will refund your money if you ship it back to me unharmed and in it's original packing.
