Welcome to my auction for this meticulously rendered mid-19th centur y framed silk embroidery. Biblical scene of a woman tying a blue ribbon in her hair f lanked by a lion and donkey. Face hands and foot are delicately hand painted. Background is lush foliage. Black border with gold accents in the corners heightens the drama of this scene. MEASUREMENTS : Outside frame - 17 1/4" x 15" Oval embroidery - 12 1/2" x 10" CONDITION: Condition is excellent. Embroidered scene is pristine - no holes or tears.
