Welcome to my ebay store:I am listing THREE of my LENCI dolls this week plus ONE FIORI/FIORE Doll that is known as a LENCI type' of the same era. These are all VERY HIGHLY collectible Italian antique dolls of exquisite workmanship. The Countess Maffei in such great condition, and The Matador design are rare, I don't see ANY Matador dolls available for sale anywhere at the moment. One sold several years ago for around 200, and the rare dolls definitely increase in value and hold their own. This guy is in Excellent condition as well, find him in my ebay store. This particular Doll is known as the Scottish BOY but personally I think it looks like the Girl. The boy doll usually has more of the kilt accessories (fur sporan etc). You can see a moth hole on the back of the jacket. She has her original tam o Shanter (beret) with a bit of wear, and with feather, and underneath I see the hair is sparse but that may have been intentional since the hat hides most of the hair. You can see the sewn on ears on all three of my Lenci dolls. The FIORI doesn't have ears. Her plaid skirt is still wonderfully bright, ditto the green jacket with original button. One of her shoes is a bit worn/stretched out but otherwise they are tacked on. I am assuming this one is the same era as the other two as I got them from the original owner. Circa mid 1930s.
