Up for sale is this wonderful and very scarce antique 1913 Baker & Bennett Little Mind Builder wooden automobile toy. This appears to be a very rare toy as I can't find any example of it either for sale or sold. It seems to have been meant to be used in conjunction with the Little Mind Builder alphabet and number wood blocks. The automobile is fairly large and measures approximately 2 feet long, 8 3/4 inches wide and about 6 1/2 inches high. There is a modern repair on one of the wheels as shown in the photos, and it is unfortunately on the side that has the better of the two paper labels. There is a modern screw on the bottom of the trunk that attaches the two front wheels to the body of the car. The wheels appear to be a bit wobbly and flimsy. The color of the labels have darkened a bit and the labels have some loss as illustrated in the photos. The headlights and the steering wheel are missing. Since I can't find another example of this toy anywhere on the internet, I don't know for sure what the automobile is supposed to look like when complete, I'm just going by the graphic of the car on the label. Despite it's flaws its still a very scarce toy that still displays nicely, and it could really look like a real gem with a little work.
