We are offering an Antique Pennsylvania German Certificate of Birth Fraktur from 1870. Celebrating the birth of Alfred Herman Sarg (4/2/1870), A Son of Vallentin Sarg and Carolina Sarg daughter of Adam & Catherine Mohn in the Village of Lenhartsville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. The scrivener was Martin Wetzler, Reading, PA (1854-1888). Wetzler was know for many documents and frakturs which he penned and painted. It is hand colored with dots & stripes of color. The fraktur size is 17 x 14 inches. As a side to this Alfred Herman Sarg lived a total of 11 months and 4 days We belive this to be in very good condition for paper about 130 years old. As can be seen in the photos, there are some small edge tears and some handling wrinkes (not pronounced) here and there, especially around the edges and some light small stains. We are not experts relating to Frakturs and therefore please review the picture or ask questions.
