Once the track was recorded, she appeared that afternoon before a gathering of her fans along with news and television reporters at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.During the appearance, Annette presented her "Annette" shirt from the 1980 television special that paid tribute to the original Mouseketeers on the 25th Anniversary of the "Mickey Mouse Club." (event photo provide for illustration only; not included with the auction). In addition, she presented the museum with an exclusive "limited edition" copy of the "Annette Funicello Country Album."The walnut plaque measures 10.5" x 13" and certificate is 8.5" x 11"Signed on April 13, 1984 by Frances W. "Bud" Wendell (President of the Country Music Foundation / Hall of Fame & Museum)"Presented to Annette Funicello in recognition of your donation to the permanent collections of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and your dedication to the preservation of Country Music's history."Condition: Fair condition; with signs of prior water stains to the certificate as caused when the fire was extinguished at Annette's Encino, California home in 2011.Provenance: As found in Annette's personal career archivesIncludes Certificate of Authenticity from The Annette Funicello Research FundAbout Us The Annette Funicello StageAnnette Funicello and Glen Holt were married on May 3, 1986 and together in 1993 they founded the Annette Funicello Research Fund for Neurological Diseases for the purpose of researching the cause, the treatment and the cure for Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological diseases.As Annette's disease progressed, she and Glen had redoubled their efforts to fund the critical research that is needed to fight all neurological diseases, including multiple sclerosis, the disease that Annette had so valiantly fought for more than two decades. Their relentless struggle against the disease served as an inspiration that can motivate Annette's friends and fans to participate in providing the financial support that this ongoing research requires. Perhaps Glen said it best: "I want to touch their hearts so they will go out there and help us raise some money. I am going to fulfill her wish to help find a cause and a cure."Glen faithfully cared for Annette until her passing on April 8, 2013.
