ESTATE WITH PAPERWORKFrom the estate of an anthropologist who was a professor in Orange County, CA.My husband & I purchased his collection of antiquities, artifacts & manuscripts 20 years agoI just found this as I had it stored in a portfolioThe note which of course is included in the auction reads as follows & has a pencil 450- price on bottom:Please note I have not copied the whole note in my text & you can read the full description in my photosThis fragment is from an Egyptian Papyrus Manuscript written about the 1st Century A.D.This paper of the Egyptian was made of slices of the cellular pith of the papyrus reed laid lengthwise.The note smells a bit musty from been stored but I will try to air it outIt looks like the fragment is in acid free material? and there is no musty smellPapyrus Measures approximately 4-1/2" x 4"Selling exactly as found and pictured at no reserve
