American Limoges offered the Trillium line in several variations. These plates were cataloged as pattern number I-T S530 and feature under glaze forest green verge with a liberal and intricate 22 Karat applied gold filigree decoration. In their day, these likely would have been the "good china", reserved for use at holidays and special occasions. Our plates measure about 10.125" in diameter. They would have been made between the late 1940's when the name American Limoges was adopted, and 1955 when the factory ceased production.Condition here is good, but a bit less than pristine. All five plates are fully damage free suffering no chips or cracks. All are free from stain, discoloration, and hard water deposits. All have good color and applied transfer decor that's fresh and crisp in appearance. Applied gold decoration exhibits very minimal, if any, loss or wear. We noted some crazing of the glaze on two of the plates and there may be some present on the others if examined closely. Light surface wear including utensil scratches and scuffing attributable to stacked dish storage in cupboard is noted as well. It's commensurate with age and typical, occasional use. This is vintage dinnerware that presents well and though showing some evidence of age and use should please many hostesses and collectors.This lot is priced at only $59.95.
