AMERICAN BREWERIES ADVERTISING CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, comprising a miniature stein-form match holder with striker to bottom having a polychrome transfer depicting an indigenous profile with headdress encircled by "IROQUOIS / BREWING CO." and "BUFFALO N.Y." below, and a "PABST / MILWAUKEE" stein depicting red transfer design of five gnomes with frothing steins surrounding a barrel with "'PABST PERFECTED BREWING IN AMERICA'" below. Marks to underside include "THUEMLER MFG. CO. / ROCHESTER, PA." Hugo Thuemler Manufacturing Co., Rochester, PA; and other. Late 19th/early 20th century. 4 1/4" HOA.Condition Iroquois example undamaged; Pabst example having some discoloration, an approximately 1" L area of glaze loss to top of rim, and a hairline encircling the handle.
