Here's a cool vintage Depression candy dish which was made by the famous Cambridge Glass Company of Cambridge, Ohio. The etched decoration on this is called "Cleo", which might have been introduced as early as 1922, and continued in production into the 1930's (I can't find anything very definitive on dates). The blank for this piece is shown in the 1932 Cambridge catalog as the 864 Candy Box and Cover.This dish is about 6-1/4" tall to the top of the lid (about 3-1/2" high at the sides), and is just under 6" at the sides (the bowl is about 4-1/2" in diameter). about 4-7/8" wide across the bowl (the foot's about 3-1/16" in diameter). It's in great shape - not even a hint of roughness on the inside rim of the lid or on the rim of the bowl (which is where you almost always find a little wear and tear). Beautiful piece, great etch, great color, a really cool blank you don't see that often, and this one needs a new home.Any questions or comments, feel free to send me a message.Thanks for looking, and be sure to check out my other auctions!
