BEAUTIFULLY HAND CARVED OSTRICH EGG SHELL FROM SOUTH AFRICA WITH ELEPHANT ON ONE SIDE AND RHINO ON THE OTHER.AND STARS.. STAND IS INCLUDED ! The hole underneath the egg is large[4cm across] and it can be used to put either a light bulb or tea light candle and create a beautiful lamp. Ostriches lay the largest eggs of any bird in the world and as relatives of dinosaurs their eggs are very hard and tough. The beautifully decorated porcelain-like shell takes over two weeks to complete and each one is original. All of the shells are from infertile eggs and these amazing works of art are made and created in South Africa.
