Aluminum Tip Tray issued as a souvenir for the Charleston Exposition in 1901. The tray has a picture of the Cotton Palace on it and the words "Cotton Palace, South Carolina Interstate & West Indian Exposition, Charleston, S.C. 1901". Measures 3 inches by 4½ inches. Shows a little wear, but overall nice condition. Rare item. See scan. The Charleston Expo was formally called the South Carolina Interstate and West Indian Exposition and was held in downtown Charleston on land which now comprises part of the Citadel Military School and Hampton Park. Hundreds of different souvenirs were sold to the fairgoers who attended the Expo. Existing souvenirs from this fair are very scarce in relation to those of the larger fairs of the time period. Payment must be received within 10 days of end of auction. Seller not responsible for uninsured items lost or damaged during shipment.
