Now then here we have a pair of vintage Airfix Engine Sheds, together with a couple of scratch built out buildings: all of which I found in my childhood model railway boxes stored in the attic of the family home which we were clearing recently. As a result of work commitments, I live away from home during the week, and with limited evening activities, I decided to refurbish these and in so doing, I opted to join the two to make a double length building which will take a main line locomotive and tender rather than the shorter single shed. The windows are fully glazed and the main doors move freely. I have also scratch built out of other Airfix bits & pieces a couple of out buildings, incidental non of the lean too sheds are actually fixed to the main building - leaving them free to be placed to suit, or omitted altogether. Lastly the two sheds aren't just simply fixed together, as I have maintained the window spacing to encourage the look of one building. As in some that I have seen with just two fixed together with unequal spacings of the windows and look exactly as it is two stuck together!! Not perfect, but not a bad effort even if I do say so myself!!!
