This is a wonderful and rare c.1804-1829 Dark Blue Staffordshire Transfer Printed Teapot in the Gables Farm pattern by William Adams & Sons. It is being sold as shown in the photos, minus the lid. It measures approximately 11" long from spout tip to backside of handle, 6-1/2" high to top of front collar, 7" high to top of handle. This rare Gables Farm pattern teapot is in beautiful estate condition with NO repairs, NO restoration, and NO re-glazing. The glaze retains a bright shine over the rich dark blue transfer printed Gables Farm pattern. The exterior shoulder shows age appropriate spots of glaze rub with a small old chip, as shown in photo #6. The front collar shows a very faint, tight, 1" hairline on the mold-line, as shown in photo #9 with some tiny interior collar flakes. While unmarked, this is guaranteed to be the rare Gables Farm pattern by Adams. It is shown in the book ADAMS CERAMICS Staffordshire Potters and Pots, 1779-1998 by Furniss, Wagner and Wagner.
