New York: Avalon Books, 1959. First edition . Volume in the Avalon Science Fiction series. Adam Lukens was a working pseudonym used by American science ficiton writer Diane Detzer de Reyna (1930-1992), though she has also published material as Diane Detzer and Jorge de Reyna. She began publishing science fictions works with "The Tomb" for Science Fiction Stories in November 1958, and soon thereafter released a number of novels, from The Sea People (1959), Sons of the Wolf (1961), The Glass Cage (1962) and Eevalu (1963), as Adam Lukens . Each is quite varied in subject matter but are generally Space Opera novels. Bound in the publisher's grey cloth covered boards. Very minor scuff to front pastedown. The dust jacket is lightly rubbed and edgeworn, with just a hint of sunning to the spine; otherwise this a very good copy of this scarce science fiction first edition .Please see my other auctions for other antiquarian and collectible books .
