GEORG JENSEN Vintage Demitasse Set in Original Box This is a Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Demitasse Set in their beloved Acanthus Pattern consisting of 6 spoons & 1 Sugar Tong displayed beautifully in their beautiful original blue case. This pattern was created by designer Johan Rohde (1856-1935) who contributed greatly to the success of George Jensen. It is said that George Jensen's greatest success was his ability to find and nurture great designers and Johan Rohde is a great example. Jensen and sterling mark on the spoons Each Spoon is marked "Georg Jensen Sterling Denmark." This Jensen mark was used after WWII in 1945. Each spoon is approximately 3 13/16" tall Jensen and sterling marks on the sugar tongs The tongs are marked "Sterling Denmark". The Sugar Tongs are 4" tall. This set of sterling appears to have been originally marketed by a jeweler or high end retailer in Paris. This vintage set of Jensen is in excellent condition with original box and comes complete. Please examine the many photos that have been provided. They will give you some idea on condition and value. Condition report: This Georg Jensen set does not appear to have been used, and looks like it has been stored away for decades. The sterling pieces are in excellent condition.
