This auction is for an ABC Aurora Monday Night Football game, 1972.During the early 1970's, makers of sports board games became among the first to attempt to "computerize" their games. Possibly this was done because computerization allowed for more randomness (and thus more realism) of different plays or innings. One of the more successful of these attempts, according to players and collectors, was the ABC Aurora Monday Night Football game. The game utilized "computer" cards which each player inserted into his side of the board (field.) The cards allowed for realistic variances in plays and yards gained or lost. The game was endorsed by Dallas Cowboy Roger Staubach of the Dallas Cowboys. Needs 1 AA size battery for operation. Game is new; unplayed with.All paper items are shipped in rigid containers or boxes. This may add to the cost of shipping but insures your item will get to you in good condition. Although our mailers are marked "Do Not Bend or Fold," the post office carrier has, in the past, folded the mailer, say, to squeeze it into an apartment size mailbox.
