Set of six porcelain hors d oevres plates - decorated with different portrayals of mushrooms; I've been told these are Limoges plates and the back are marked and numbered. The markings are as follows: "Berry Haute Porcelaine creation L. Lourioux" . . . above this writing is a crown emblem . . . beneath the writing is an "L" within a green laurel wreath . . . . three plates have a number "1" beneath the laurel, or it may be the letter "I"; one of the plates has the letter "P" beneath the laurel wreath . . . and two of the plates have the letter "R" beneath the laurel wreath. They measure 5 and 3/4 inches across. These may, in point of fact, be plates intended for serving truffles - hence the mushroom designs. These are just lovely plates. They are special - they have a special feeling when held. They are in excellent condition, and I don't think they've ever been used. These are perfect for a gift for someone who likes to entertain, or for someone who has an appreciation for the finer things. They are also just wonderful on their own. These are a rare find.
