On these reels a series of individual frames of 35mm film is rolled up, and, when running through the projector, give the illusion of living pictures on the big screen. You get the so called "film cells" or "moviecells" by cutting out stripes of a genuine 35mm print of a particular movie. The stripes consist of a certain number of individual frames (= film cells).
