Penn Antique Restoration 32"x79.5"x1.75"Antique Solid Oak Doorw/Window & PanelCharming, antique, wooden door salvaged from the former, "Warwick State Training School for Boys," in Orange County New York (see last photo). The facility opened in 1914. In 1933 FDR and his wife dedicated the facility towards the purpose of rehabilitating troubled youth in NYC by relocating them to the country, exposing them to living and working on a farm. The door is over 100 years old. It has a solid oak core covered by 1/8" thick oak veneers. It is stained and finished (not painted) on both sides. Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Oak is a very dense wood and this door would've warped long ago if it weren't for its veneers. The door has a half-length window with Plexiglass and a raised panel below. Although the glass is in good shape, if you prefer a different type of glass we could order and install for you- -email us for a quote.Hardware : No hardware included, however, w e have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store.* If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote.Condition : The door
