This 1.25" photo pinback was a promotional item for Charmion, Star of Vaudeville at the Opheum. The Opheum theater was where her career started in Sacramento, CA. in the early 1900s. Charmion, her stage name, was a vaudeville trapeze artist and musclewoman. She would come onto the stage wearing Victorian clothes of the day and as she mounted her trapeze and did her routine remove her clothing. This pin shows her flexing and eying her muscles in a rather suggestive pose as she mounys her swing .. The pin is near mint as the front celluloid has no cracking, is bright and shiny and only very minor scuffing. Good luck with this one and thanks.
