19TH c NEEDLEPOINT PILLOW ARTS & CRAFTS STYLE ~ COAT OF ARMS This is a one of a kind hand stitched needlepoint tapestry dating to circa 1880. It is done very much in the arts a& crafts style. In beautifully soft colors this tapestry is in a wool cross stitch. It features a central Coat of Arms, the motifs of which are in a finer work (petit point). The needlepoint measures 17.5" x 18". Unfortunately there is some damage to the tapestry but it in no way detracts from the beauty (see photo). Around the needlepoint I put an antique (new old stock) French metallic scalloped trim. This is on brown velvet. I finished it off with a gold and brown triple tassel trim. The back is done in a solid rust viscose fabric. This gorgeous pillow measures 22" x 22". There is zipper closure for your convenience and a down and feather insert for a plush look and feel. The entire pillow is lined for extra durability. This is a piece you will treasure and want to pass on to future generations. It is in excellent newly created condition and comes from a smoke free home. Please note that I show it with two other pillows that are available and sold separately. If you want a cohesive group then this may be just the answer. It/they would look spectacular in any period home. I will contact you within 24 hours of auction. Payment is due within 3 days of close
