This listing for the original antique oil painting that you see in the photos. I purchased it at a benefit sale where I was not told its history. It looks to me like a 19th century Hudson River School or Luminist style painting. It is not signed. I believe that it is an original antique painting and not a reproduction. I leave it to the buyer to decide what the style is.The frame measures about 33 ½ by 19 ¾ inches. The stretcher for the canvas measures about 30 ¾ by 17 ¼ inches. The area of the painting exposed by the frame is a little smaller. The framed painting weighs about 3 pounds 5 ounces. The "canvas" that the painting is painted on is some kind of fabric that may or may not be typical canvas. The frame is definitely old. I think that it is probably original to the painting.The condition is much like you see it in the 15 photos after the general description. The painting could probably benefit from a cleaning with some areas dirtier than others. There are a couple of dark areas on the reverse of the canvas that I do not know the nature of. A close-up shows a tiny spot of paint loss near the lower right hand corner. There is a much tinier spot in the sky where it looks like something poked the paint and damaged it.
