St Augustine's A Village Church by William B. Michaelsen. Published in 1987 by St Augustine's Episcopal Church, Croton-on-Hudson, New York. Rare First Edition Signed & inscribed by author on first blank leaf. The history of the Episcopal church in Croton spans more than two centuries, beginning with the first services held by Rev. James Wetmore in 1744. This 128-page book covers the history of the parish as well as the church, constructed in the 1850's. Bound in cream-colored paper cover with illustrations on front and back cover. A very scarce work. Some creasing 7 spot staining on the covers& page edges. Good condition. Measures 6" x 9" . Contains 127 pages. Nice gift or keepsake for a Croton-on-Hudson area resident.
