This lot features the 1968 Topps Jim Bunning #215 - PSA 9! ---Pitching primarily with the Tigers and Phillies, Jim Bunning maintained dedication and consistency in posting 224 career wins. He was a menacing right-handed side-armer who became the first pitcher to record 100 wins and 1,000 strikeouts in both the American and National leagues. Bunning also pitched no-hitters in both circuits, including a perfect game at Shea Stadium on Father's Day in 1964. A dominant figure in the founding of the players' union, he helped establish the players' pension plan. Bunning was elected to the United States Senate from Kentucky on November 3, 1998.Here’s a great-looking example of his 1968 card!
