This lot features the 1963 Topps Buc Blasters - Clemente #16 PSA 8! ---During his 18 year career Clemente played with intensity and a true love for game. A 12 time all star, clemente did it with his arm and his bat. On the defensive side Roberto led the NL in assists 5 different times along with 12 gold gloves. On the offensive side he was just as impressive. Clemente captured 4 batting titles, (61,64,65,67) and hit over .300 13 times. In the 1971 World Series Clemente became a one-man wrecking crew against the Baltimore Orioles, chasing down fly balls, unleashing marvelous throws at every opportunity and blistering pitchers to a .414 tune not to mention a slg pct of .759. A true gentlemen Roberto said it best with his quote about life. “ Anytime you have an opportunity to make things better and you don't, then you are wasting your time on this Earth". Amen to that…. What a nice-looking example of the 1963 card with Clemente. 4 well-defined corners, 4 mint snow-white borders, perfect focus and color on a blemish free surface, original gloss and wonderful centering.
