This crisp, clean OML Baseball is signed in blue ballpoint pen by the three pitchers who yielded Roger Maris his most significant HR's during his record breaking 1961 season. Paul Foytack of the Detroit Tigers gave up Maris' first HR of the season, getting it all started. Mr. Foytack has signed 'Paul Foytack, Maris #1, 4/26/61'. On a cold night in late September, the Yankee slugger hit his 60th HR off Baltimore Oriole's hurler, Jack Fisher. Maris' 60th dinger tied him with the great Babe Ruth for the single season record. Jack has signed 'Jack Fisher, Maris #60, 9/26/61'. On the final game of the 1961 season, in Yankee Stadium, Maris blasted his 61st HR, eclipsing baseball's most glamerous record--the single season home run mark. The solo shot came off Boston Red Sox Pitcher, Tracy Stallard for the only run of the game. Tracy has signed, 'Tracy Stallard, Maris 61, 10/1/61'. A rare and unique item, these balls were signed by all three pitchers in October, 2011 at a private signing in Chantilly, VA. At the time of this writing, I have eight of these balls left. Each ball includes an individually numbered tamper-proof Hologram and matching credit card size COA. We also include a photo of the three pitchers at the signing.
