This auction is for a Vintage 1959 Schwinn HORNET Mens 26âe Bicycle. This Bike is in very good condition considering its age! Iâe(tm)ve owned this bike for over 30 years. Features include horntank, rack, springer, lite & all original tags and labels. Always stored indoors, Never left outside in the elements. Original light on front fender - very good condition. Tank with decal and horn button Wheels are in very good condition, Straight and true with original chrome. Chrome rims have slight surface rust spots. B.F. Goodyear Silvertown S-7 Schwinn Tublar Rim 26 X 1 3/4" tires with minimal miles. Strumly Archer single speed coaster brake rear axle. Black seat is not Schwinn. Red handlebar grips with streamers are not Schwinn. Serial # F94190 (June 1959) Back fender has a chrome carrier with some rust spots. Original red paint front & rear fenders, minimal rust spots on fenders, passenger seat stem, handlebar stem, strut, and top of chain guard. Very few scratches, no dents. Original decals are in very good condition with just very slight scratch-offs. Center of crank to top of seat post clamp, 19 1/2" Center of seat post clamp to center of handlebar neck 21" Needs slight surface cleaning. I donâe(tm)t want to over-clean and disturb the patina.
