RARE 1956 Elvis Presley Newspaper Ad for RCA Victrola Record Player

* Elvis Presley 1956 RCA Victor Portable Record Player - Victrola Newspaper Advertisement ** ** This an 1956 ad for an RCA Victor Elvis Presley Record Player. It says, "Get 8 Presley hits with this new RCA Victor Portable 4 speed Autograph Victrola - with Elvis signature stamped in gold". In blue denim, simulated leather. Model 7EP2. It measures approximately 4 3/4" xc 5 3/4" (12.1 cm x 14.6 cm). It's in really good condition for it's 55+ years! Just has the scotch tape marks where it's been in the scrapbook. This ad appeared in the paper right before Elvis' live appearance at the Houston City Auditorium in 1956. Of course, I was there on the front row! Some of you Elvis collectors may remember me from several years back when I was selling many of the Elvis items I collected when I was a teenager in the 1950's. I'm Gail from Houston. In the last two months, I sold my remaining 50's Elvis memorabilia as I'm now 70 years old (!) and it was time to pass it on to others. My best friend growing up during my Elvis days was Marty (who also just turned 70). She still lives here in Houston and we are still close friends. After telling her of my experiences selling off our Elvis memories, she decided to give me her Elvis scrapbook to sell on ebay if I wanted to! I was speechless and so grateful for the incredible gift. And, let me tell you, hers is better than mine was! Her cousin, and my friend too, Carol lived in Shreveport where Marty was originally from. Her cousin Carol and her boyfriend were friends with Elvis and used to hang out with him occasionally when he was in town, especially her boyfriend who went to school with D. J. Fontana, Elvis' drummer. Because of this, Marty has all these photos from Elvis on stage that Carol gave her. Many years ago, Carol had given me some too but I sold them long ago. Marty, Carol and I used to hang out in the summers when Carol would come to Houston to visit Marty. You're going to see a lot of things but don't let these pass you up just because you are seeing a lot of 50's stuff. This scrapbook and everything in it is a rare event and these very rate Hayride photos, et al may never show up again. * Attention International Buyers : I will ship internationally to certain countries but you need to know that there is no insurance outside of the U.S. If I send Express Mail through the Post Office (which is the most expensive) there is a tracking number and they will cover up to $100 provable cost of the item. But, you never know how long that would take to recover if and when it was lost. With that being said, the mail to most of Europe is pretty reliable.
