* Elvis Presley 1956 RCA Victor Portable Record Player - Victrola Newspaper Advertisement ** ** This an 1956 ad for an RCA Victor Elvis Presley Record Player. It says, "Get 8 Presley hits with this new RCA Victor Portable 4 speed Autograph Victrola - with Elvis signature stamped in gold". In blue denim, simulated leather. Model 7EP2. It measures approximately 4 3/4" xc 5 3/4" (12.1 cm x 14.6 cm). It's in really good condition for it's 55+ years! Just has the scotch tape marks where it's been in the scrapbook. This ad appeared in the paper right before Elvis' live appearance at the Houston City Auditorium in 1956. Of course, I was there on the front row! Some of you Elvis collectors may remember me from several years back when I was selling many of the Elvis items I collected when I was a teenager in the 1950's. I'm Gail from Houston. In the last two months, I sold my remaining 50's Elvis memorabilia as I'm now 70 years old (!) and it was time to pass it on to others. My best friend growing up during my Elvis days was Marty (who also just turned 70). She still lives here in Houston and we are still close friends. After telling her of my experiences selling off our Elvis memories, she decided to give me her Elvis scrapbook to sell on ebay if I wanted to!
