THIS IS A VINTAGE BOLO TIE WITH THE IMAGE OF A YAQUI DEER DANCER THAT CAME FROM A LOCAL, TUCSON,AZ ESTATE IT IS SIGNED IN THE LOWER LEFT HAND CORNER, DEGRAZIA, AND WAS PROBABLY SOLD AS A TOURIST SOUVENIR IN HIS GALLERY. I BELIEVE DEGRAZIA DESIGNED AND OVERSAW THE PRODUCTION OF THESE,BUT DIDN'T ACTUALLY PAINT THEM HIMSELF T IS A LABEL ON THE BACK THAT SAYS "AUTHORIZED BY DE GRAZIA GALLERY IN THE SUN,6300 N. SWAN. TUCSON ARIZ I BELIEVE THIS IS PAINTED ON SOME TYPE OF RESIN IT MEASURES ABOUT 3 INCHES X 2 INCHES IS INFORMATION FROM THE INTERNET ON THE FAMOUS GALLERY -" GALLERY IN THE SUN DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun Historic District in Tucson was listed on the National Register in October 2006 because of its association with the life and art of Ettore "Ted" DeGrazia."Beginning in the early 1950s, DeGrazia designed and built the Gallery in the Sun complex from the ground up with Native American friends who made traditional adobe bricks on the ten-acre foothills site. The first buildings include the Mission in the Sun, the artist's home, a studio and small gallery.
