This is a very handsome and beautifully crafted 1950s African tribal mask linked bracelet created out of hammered copper with silver, brass and fur embellishments. The bracelet was purchased in the late 1950s by a relative while traveling in Tanganyika, now the United Republic of Tanzania.This copper plate bracelet is a true piece of vintage craftsmanship and features five tribal masks with soldered silver and brass embellishments with narrow strips of fur across the top edges of the masks. The closure is a hook and eye and there are eight silver links which hold the plates in place. The bracelet has been worn many times over the decades, so it shows some normal wear of the paint and fur, but the bracelet remains in very good condition! It is a lovely piece of jewelry and purchased when there was a Tanganyika on the continent of Africa!The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/2"L x 1 1/2"H x 1/3"W and it a beautiful vintage piece of art!I ship only within the Continental USA.
