Dated January 7 1943 this exceptionally clean note from Hall of Fame pitcher Chief Bender was elegantly signed along with a pleasant note written to an autograph collector. Bender in response to the request politely responded "My dear sir I am always glad to comply with the wishes of anyone interested in American sport. Sincerely yours "Chief" Bender." Clearly mounted at some point in an album using photo corners the card has faded slightly from its original color (except at the aforementioned corners) but not in such a way as to obstruct or harm the signature or inscription both of which are in outstanding condition and of high technical grade.
