1940s to 60s LOT of Fashion mags VOGUE GLAMOR Harpers BAZAAR. Offered is a LOT of 9 original American classic high fashion magazines from the 1940s to 1960s. All are loaded with color and B/W fashions, hair fashions and make-up tips. Loaded with fashion accessories advertising and related. Included in this LOT are: 1) GLAMOUR, Oct 1947 (196 pages) – Great color advertising in this issue – loaded with late 1940s fashions. A Nice clean solid issue. 2) GLAMOUR, Nov 1947 (164 pages) – Christmas gift issue and Winter fashions – nice advertising and fashion art. Front cover top right corner edge torn off – a little age foxing on front cover – a little chipping along bottom spine edge 3) Harper’s BAZAAR, July 1958 (108 pages) – nice color fashions of the period. Has some wear and chipping along spine. Some ink marks on bottom of cover. Wear along edges of covers – a few tiny edge tears. 4) VOGUE, July 1962 (120 pages) – Beautiful color Summer fashions with close-up story and photos of writer William Faulkner. Solid tight spine with all pages and covers firmly attached. Back cover has some lite wear along edges. Inside pages are very clean (no marks or hand writing or torn pages). Page 109 has a small clipping out of bottom right corner. 5) VOGUE, July 1964 (138 pages) – Nice full page color and B/W fashions (and section on shoes) . Features on the James Bond Girls and a young British rocker, Mick Jagger of the “Rolling Stone”. Covers show some wear with ink writing on front cover – back cover shows some wear along edges – inside pages generally clean (a few ink underlines – a couple of pages have small edge tears (nothing serious). 6) VOGUE, Sept 15, 1965 (180 pages) – This issue is LOADED with color illustrated and photo fashions – and knock-out color Lingerie. Includes 7 page article and photos of Jacqueline and Pablo Picasso (with his art and art dealer). Also on location with the movie “Doctor Zhivago” with Julie Christie, Omar Sharif, Rod Steiger and Geraldine Chaplin. Covers and pages firmly attached to spine. Spine has some wear and paper chipping at top and bottom edges. FRONT cover shows some wear on surface and along right edge. BACK cover is clean with some wear and minor chipping along left edge. Inside pages are very clean (no marks, hand writing or torn pages). Some pages have age toning along border areas. 7) VOGUE, March 1, 1966 (Very HEAVY issue – 210 pages) – LOADED!! With full page color and B/W fashions – Paris fashions – The American Dress.. NO COVERS – NO FRONT OR BACK COVER. Inside pages clean with age toning along border edges. 8) VOGUE, April 15, 1966 (156 pages) – This specific issue is LOADED with NICE FULL PAGE color illustrated and photo fashions. Nice modeling section with Leslie Caron (color and B/W). close-up article on reporter Tom Wolfe. GREAT modeling section with a young Mia Farrow. Features a fold-down cover and fashion fold-out insert. Covers and pages firmly attached to spine. Spine is solid with a little paper chipped off at top and bottom. FRONT cover is very clean with some wear. BACK cover is very clean – a little chipping at bottom right corner edge. Inside pages are very clean (no marks, hand writing or torn pages. Some pages have age toning along border areas. 9) VOGUE, May, 1966 (Very HEAVY issue – 254 pages) – Some Wild fashions in this issue including knock-out swim wear (the Water Babies – large section) – Loaded with other fashions and advertising. NO COVERS – NO FRONT OR BACK COVER. Inside pages clean with age toning along border edges.
