You're looking at an original uncut (still intact in complete newspaper) first appearance of SUPERMAN in NY Newsday newspaper by the creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster from September 3, 1940 entitled The Superman is Born ! WOW! A what a nice piece of original Superman Comic Book history!Plus, this same newspaper also contains original and uncut comic strips of Walt Disney's Donald Duck and TARZAN from 1940! (see photos). This is also the very rare premiere first edition of New York Newsday on Tuesday September 3, 1940. It's in fantastic condition for a 73-year old newspaper. It has a slight tear on the right edge of the front page, but the rest of the paper looks beautiful! It's been kept in plastic for more than 30 years now. It's Museum Quality and any New York or Long Island Museum would love to have this in their private showcase!!! Winner will also pay for Insurance and sign for this item when delivered.
