RARE : Lottery tickets (7) that were banned by the US Post Office in 1936....the fraud was organized by the ASSOCIATION FOR LEGALIZING AMERICANLOTTERIES ,INC. .......they sold the tickets as "applications for membership" and created a "cartoon" contest to pick the winners....... see Time Magazine article of April 20,1936 through Google for the entire story ....Google: Grand National Treasure Hunt , as it was billed, which was hit by a fraud order in April, 1936, and the lottery scheme was banned.,.... you are bidding on a packet of 7 tickets with all held in place exactly as they were in 1936, including the ticket covers (front,back)..... mint/near mint condition.....the tickets are from a West Virginia (WV) collection ..... nice item for the collector.....thanks for your interest....we use PayPal.....mailing is $1.50 with careful packaging.
