Have this 1932 Philco "Junior" model 80 cathedral radio with a lot of potential. Bought it out of Parkersburg, WVa. a number of years ago. I have too many radios and not enough time to restore them-this needs to go to a collector that can have some fun with it. Neat little 4-tube sueprheterodyne that was an economy model of the larger "Baby Grand" Philcos. Radio is playing but needs a definite going-over of capacitors and likely out-of-spec resistors. There are a couple resistors that are notorious for going out of spec and affecting this radio's performance-I will include the schematic and service data. I forgot what I did to it to get it to play-I am sure I did install filter capacitors and I think the 2 #36 tubes were bad and I put working ones in (has been ~15 years). Cabient is in very nice shape. Grille cloth is rough as you can see in the photo. Speaker may need repair/reconing-it has some tissue stuffed in it. Has plenty of volume. 2 of the speaker nuts are missing and it has plain screws in place. Good radio to restore. I think I paid $35 for it, and that was easily 15 years ago. Shipping weight is around 17 lbs. with the Bellbrookbob careful packers touch. I'd suggest Parcel Post to save money. I'd love to see someone enjoy it. Will answer questions to best of my ability.
