Vintage R. A. McFarland California Map Souvenir Tablecloth Abingdon Antiques and Collectibles are honored to present to you a Vintage 1930s R. A. McFarland California State Souvenir Tablecloth. Noted vintage textile collector and author Pamela Glasell has featured our tablecloth in two books of her books, Collectors' Guide to: Vintage Souvenir Tablecloths & Linens and also Collector's Guide to Vintage Tablecloths. How does one know that this is a vintage 1930s R A McFarland California Tablecloth for sure? Ms Glasell explains in her book that a true 1930s tablecloth has some unique features not found on any other California R A McFarland tablecloth, notably the notation of General Grant National Park. "This rare tablecloth produced only for a few years between 1934-1939. Depicts unusual reference to "General Grant National Park." A small portion of what is now Kings Canyon was originally set-aside in 1890 as General Grant National Park. In 1940, General Grant was absorbed into the new and larger Kings Canyon National Park. Condition: Near Mint! I see no damage! It has been treasured, unused and never displayed for 70 years! Suitable for framing! The size is 49 inches by 50 inches.
