A long dress from I believe 1930's period. It does not have a label so has been hand created and is quite unusual in design, particularly the back. The body of dress is a cotton material, with a pattern / raised weave to it in a cream colour. It has gathers around the bodice and is high waisted below the bust and a slim fit if you want to wear it. It gradually flares out from the hip area. The back has two swathes of crimson velvet that form the back shoulders and then hang loose below the back waistband. The bottom of the dress has a sort of fish tail effect sewn into the material. The condition is good vintage - no tears or marks, although it could do with a dry / specialist clean to bring some vibrancy back. I have had this dress for a couple of years and was going to wear but the didn't - I am a size 8-10 and it fights tightly. Measurements: Length ( shoulder to floor) - 143cm / 57" Waist / below bust 27" ( 13.5" laid flat) Hip area 30" ( 15' laid flat) Check out my other items !
