From same set as #1232. Glossy photo front with text below portrait "Mc Key Base Ball."Sharp image. This is a key card in the set. James Raleigh "Biz" Mackey came to be regarded as black baseball's premier catcher in the late 1920s and early 1930s. He is among the Negro Leagues all-time leaders in total bases, RBIs and slugging percentage. He played for the Indianapolis ABC's, New York Lincoln Giants, Hilldale Daisies, Philadelphia Royal Giants, Philadelphia Stars, Washington and Baltimore Elite Giants, and Newark Dodgers/Eagles. He was inducted into the National Baseball HOF in 2006. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
