This is the "home town" newspaper of BABE RUTH and this has a prominent 9" x 3" inside page team photo of the Minor League BALTIMORE ORIOLES. This is significant because the Orioles had just signed a young local pitcher, BABE RUTH, to a Minor League contract and this is the FIRST photo of BABE RUTH as an Oriole at the very beginning of his long and storied baseball career !!! A very young-looking Babe Ruth can be clearly seen in the photo sitting at the center of the front row. T is also a prominent heading and long detailed report on the baseball game on April 21 between the Baltimore Orioles and the Buffalo baseball team, with a preview of the game of April 22 stating that "Jack Dunn will send...Babe Ruth, the sensational left hander from the St Mary's Industrial School to the mound..." This game pitched by Babe Ruth on April 22, 1914 was the FIRST professional game ever played in by Babe Ruth !!!! This is the very beginning of Babe Ruth's baseball career, and has a photo of Ruth- IN HIS HOMETOWN NEWSPAPER !!! George
