1904 G$1 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar MS67 PCGS. The Lewis and Clark Exposition was held in Portland, Oregon to commemorate the centennial of the pair's expedition to the Pacific Northwest. The journey began near St. Louis and progressed westward past the Continental Divide to eventually reach the Pacific coast. They set out from Camp Dubois, Illinois (15 miles upstream from St. Louis) on May 14, 1804 and concluded their travel in St. Louis on September 23, 1806.
