This most impressive set is of solid 18K gold and genuine rubies. Each piece is marked 18K and has also been jeweler tested. Additionally each piece is marked, Cartier. A very large and heavy example, weighing in at 1.6 ounces with the pin measuring an exceedingly generous 2" in diameter and each earring measuring an impressive 3/4" long by 3/4" wide. Encrusted with 18 large rubies, the brooch is most pleasing, and not to be overshadowed are the earrings featuring 5 equally large rubies. Condition, is fabulous - not one ruby missing, no breaks or the like, pin back secure and clasp firm, earring backs very heavy duty, sturdy and working fine. I can make no apologies for the set. The earrings are pierced and feature built in heavy duty backs characteristic of their high quality Cartier designer make. As you can imagine, a stunning set like this in hard to acquire 18K solid gold, is meant to impress and sparke.
