1896 4 EARLY DRESDEN DONATH STREWN FLOWERS PLATES NR * DESCRIPTION: The back marks on these four Dresden plates is the earliest one that was used by the P. Donath Factory. This plate blank has a shallow suggestion of a swirl and I'm sure an on purpose similarity to the Meissen Strewn Flowers pattern! Each plate is slightly different from the other because all of them were painted by hand. PLEASE NOTE: T are no losses at all to this piece, unless otherwise indicated in the listing or condition report. Any areas that have a lot of white on them are actually reflections from the bright lights I use to take my photos! The Donath Company became one of the finest and best known of the Dresden painting companies. While some of the rim edges are a little light on the gold, these plates show no signs of ever having been used. These four plates are a shining example of how wonderful their work could be! * CIRCA: 1896. * MEASUREMENTS: 3/4" high. 6 1/8" across the top. 3 1/2" across the bottom. * BACKSTAMP: See photo. * MANUFACTURER: P. Donath - Silesian Porcelain factory. * MATERIALS: Porcelain. * CONDITION: No identifiable problems. This is perfect for a gift, a collection, or even for yourself.
