1893 $1 MS64 PCGS. CAC. The small mintage of 378,000 pieces is sometimes overlooked for this scarce Philadelphia issue, overshadowed by the even scarcer 1893-S and 1893-O dollars as well as the popular 1893-CC. The creamy, silver-white surfaces show only a faint hint of gold at the rims with Choice, nearly unabraded surfaces. The strike is incomplete above Liberty's ear as usual, and the eagle's legs and talons are weak, yet the lustrous and clear fields are virtually devoid of contact. CAC endorsed and attractive.
