1880-1881 N342-1C Between The Acts Cigarettes ACTRESSES -H. J. Montague -Very Early. One of the absolute first series of Tobacco cards ever produced were the N342 cards which were available as early as 1879-1880 and produced over a number of years, this type was almost certainly made around 1880-1881 (many years before the first baseball Tobacco cards were made). The second type of the N342's made had the straight backs (like this one does) & on front had what appear to be two square designs in the upper corners.
