Tasseled ribbon woven silk picture with Washington's portrait below spread-winged eagle with U.S. flag in the form of bookmark. Made to commemorate the first hundred-year anniversary in 1876 of American independence.Patriotic shield at bottom bearing field of stars above red and white stripes flanked by laurel (on right) and oak (on left) leaves above scrolling blue banner emblazoned "E Pluribus Unum". Oval medallion features nicely rendered portrait of George Washington above vertical blue and red (now pink) alternating bands listing each of the original thirteen colonies.
