A High-School DICTIONARY of the English Language, explanatory, pronouncing, and synonymous with an appendix containing various useful tables mainly abridged from the latest edition of the quarto dictionary of Noah Webster by William G. Webster and William A. Wheeler was published 1875 in Philadelphia by J.B. Lippincott & Co. measuring 7 1/2" x 5" with 415 pages, more than 300 engravings on wood in the text and with a classified selection of illustrations at rear. The binding has a leather spine with gilt titling. T is a small chip at the spine head and light extremity wear with cloth worn through at tips. T is light random foxing, mostly inside the covers. A name, address and 1877 date are inked on the front endpaper. The book is solid and otherwise clean. Thank you.
