This sale is for a "Chart of the Coast of China, extending from Hong Kong to the River Yang-Tse with plans on a large scale of the principle harbors &C." "Published by James Imray & Son, chart and nautical book sellers 89 & 102, Minories 1872" 51" x 40". The chart was "Compiled chiefly from the Surveys made by Captns Kellett and Collinson, RN".The chart is blue linen(?) backed with the title "Coast of China (Hong Kong to Shanghae). There is also a superimposed label of R. C Knaggs & Co., Stationers, Chart and Booksellers, Newcastle, N.S.W.The chart includes insets of Hong Kong, Pratas Reef, Amoy Harbour, Tongsang Harbour & Hatau Bay, Entrance to the Yang-Tse Kiang, Woosung River and the Chusan Archipelago &c.This chart has been used as indicated by the light pencil lines between the mainland and Taiwan.This chart is suitable for framing and guaranteed original. Free shipping is for US addresses via insured Priority Mail and I will combine shipping. Overseas purchasers will be responsible for overseas actual shipping costs and any required duties.
